I have been doing crossfit since 2019 going on about 2.5 years now. The reason I decided to step into my first box was because I wanted to become a wildland firefighter and from all my mentors and research everyone recommended crossfit in order to get into great physical shape for the job. So I decided to check it out and it was the most scary, most intimidating thing ever but once I got my first WOD in I was instantly hooked with the feeling of adrenaline. Before crossfit I would go to the regular gym and just try to copy things on social media but never saw progress in my fitness. I saw results in all aspects of my fitness as soon as I started crossfit which benefited me for my future career in fire.
I love crossfit for many reasons. One of the reasons is the great community attached to every box. As a coach I would love to keep that same great welcoming community that VCF had when I first joined. Try to make people always feel welcomed and not intimidated by the big RX weights on the white board. Everyone has their own fitness journey and I will try my best to help them accomplish any fitness goal a new or older member in the gym may have. I want people to enjoy crossfit as much as I do.
When I am not in the box because my job requires me to travel and leave for the summer I really love to spend time with my family and friends while I am home. One of the things I love to do on my days off is ride my bike down the beach and enjoy the scenery. Also hike a lot and enjoy great views in the city.
